P.E.T. makes it unnecessary for parents to use any kind of punishment, thus greatly reducing aggression and violence in their children. Research has shown that children model the non-violent behaviour of their non-punishing parents and become P.E.T. parents when they have children. It is also important to know that the skills learned in P.E.T. are equally as effective in enriching marriages as well as strengthening relationships at work.
