Meditation to Begin a Session

Meditation to Begin a Session

Written by Judith Richardson

Often people arrive at a session tired, rushed and distracted. Here’s a short meditation you may like to use to relax and help participants make the transition from their busyness to the class.

“Close your eyes or drop your gaze… Pause

Feel yourself in your seat and how the seat supports you…Pause

Feet on the ground and feel how the earth supports and grounds you…Pause

Hands resting lightly on your lap.

Allow yourself 4 more expansive and deeper breaths into your belly and feel the calming effect as you exhale…pause

Relax your breath and release the muscles around your eyes and mouth… Pause

When you are ready open your eyes ready for your session… Pause.”
