Resources Effectiveness Training - Program Overview
Effectiveness Training courses are powerful, experiential workshops providing participants with practical skills, experience in practice, self-development and self-understanding.
The class format is usually one 3 hour session per week for 8 to 10 weeks. Sometimes instructors may split these sessions into smaller chunks, for example; two 4 week sessions of 3 hours each session. Also effective are weekend workshops which are conducted over two days and one evening.
In addition, Effectiveness Training courses can also be tailor designed to suit particular corporate or in-house needs, for specific companies, organisations or government agencies, whether small or large.
Effectiveness Training Learning Processes
Effectiveness Training courses are designed to involve participants very actively in their own learning. Our courses have much to offer that is new and exciting and we value what participants have to offer as well – their day-to-day real life experiences, their unique circumstances, problems and perspectives.
A four step instructional process is used in each class session to bring about this blend of instructor and participant resources
Structure: Instructor presentation, in-class reading or audio visual input.
Involvement: Role plays, guided recalls or relevant life experiences, reflective writing, workbook exercises, one-on-one skill practice.
Process: Group discussion, one to one sharing and reflection, to explore new learning and insights.
Application: Individual and group activities to consolidate learning and make specific plans for actions to apply in each participants own life; involves workbook, text reading, and out-of -class skill practice assignments.
